- Any other sorting/filtering/querying on age, nationality, gender etc. can be done on all these lists by pressing the 'V' button on their left top and the headers of the tables. In this way you can for example determine the number of females from the UK that finished with Vinson.
- Every familyname in the tables climbers link to a detailed personal page with all dates, biography, photo and much more.
- Click here for an explanation of the headers and instructions for the filtering possibilities.

Why are there different lists here?
As you might know due to the discussion of either Carstensz Pyramid or Kosciuszko being the 7th summit (of Australia/ Oceania) there are different lists of the 7 summiteers, so we just list them all.
We have first listed the combined lists with people climbing at least one of them (the main 7 summits list) and one for people climbing both of them (8 summits list).
We have also divided the official seven summit statistics into the Carstensz Pyramid list (CP) and the Kosciuszko list (K). (In both cases climber can have climbed the other as well, but this is not mandatory.)
The links above take you to the full lists; for your convenience we have made some pre selections that are requested most often, see the bulleted lists above. Have fun and be inspired
In all lists you can click on the last name of each summiteer which links to a full biography with an image and more.
Notes:
Due to many climbers climbing both just to be sure, the totals of the CP & K lists are more than the total of the the main 7 summits list.
- We have no statistics available of the 7/8 mountains themselves. Most parks services either do not record this info in a structured and statistically trustful way or do not publish it. So please do not send questions like: how many Americans have climbed Elbrus. We do not know.
- Please also do not request information about the 'youngest British left-handed who climbed the 7summits walking backwards' and similar queries. We do not know and frankly do not care, climbing should be a personal choice and not dictated by funny angles to attract sponsors. Also no speed-records per mountain requests please. We don't know or care and are not promoting it: speed-climbing is potentially very dangerous, hard to check and has proven to be a major source of controversy.
- Use all of this info wisely, 7summits.com cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies or resulting problems.
- As facts have to be checked and completed, the lists will only get updated once every few weeks - months, depending on the number of new summiteers and the completeness of their submissions.

Current facts:
Age: the Youngest & Oldest climbers...
- Rhys Miles Jones finished being exactly 20 years and had taken the record for being the youngest person to climb the Kosciuszko version from Danielle Fisher, who finished with 20 years and 169 days. She was still the youngest woman to do the Kozzie version until on 18th May 2007 Samantha Larson summited Everest, which was the last of her 7 summits! Her record will be added soon.
- Atsushi Yamada was 23 years and 9 days when he finished the Carstensz version and is the youngest so far. The youngest woman with Carstensz is still Rebecca Stephens with 33 years and 50 days!
- The oldest man to finish the Kosciuszko version is Ramón Blanco, with 70 years and 242 days. He also climbed Carstensz later and is now the oldest CP climber as well finishing 8 days before his 74th birthday. Junko Tabei is still the oldest woman with Kozzie with 52 years & 310 days.
- She is not the oldest woman in total, as fellow Japanese girl Chieko Shimada has just broken that record with her 54 years and 29 days, she climbed the Carstensz version.
Duration: the fastest and slowest climbers:
- Mastan Babu Malli is now the fastest climber, using Kosciuszko, he finished after 172 days, climbing each mountain on a different day of the week as well as in a different month! The slowest Kozzie climber is Sherman Bull with approximately 41.7 years.
- The fastest Kozzie girl is Bond, Annabelle Bond with 360 days, while the slowest Kozzie woman is Junko Tabei with 17 years and 74 days.
- Daniel Griffith is now the fastest climber that included Carstensz with 187 days, in that period he climbed Kosciuszko as well. The 'slowest' Carstensz climber is Gerry Roach who took 30 years and 304 days to finalize his queste.
- The fastest CP girl is Jo Gambi with 2 years and 68 days, the slowest Carstensz woman is again Junko Tabei with 17 years and 74 days.
Miscellaneous: In December of 2006 Davo Karnicar became the first person to really have skied down all seven peaks.
