Hello all you (armchair) Mountaineers!

Here is the irregular 7summits..com newsletter with some last calls for expeditions and a new adventure in Tanzania.

In this issue:

- Carstensz Pyramid is open! 7summits again cheapest option.

- Last call for Vinson 2006/2007.

- New Kilimanjaro 2007 prices & SkyDive option!

+ Carstensz Pyramid is open again! One date only, next month.

After years of being closed for all climbers there is opportunity to climb the 7th summit again. Prices have gone up a lot as now a long helicopter approach is needed to get to the base of the mountain. All large operators ask $18,000 or more, but not 7summits.com. Join us for $12,500 for exactly the same trip! Discount for small groups possible. Book this week.

Dates:

20th October - 4th November 2006

Details and sign up here: http://7summits.com/carstensz/trips.php

+ Vinson expeditions , almost full, book now!

- Reserve and Book now: Vinson 2006/2007. We just got word from the logistics operator that the trips are filling up really fast as there is limited capacity on the planes, so please let us know immediately if you want to come and pay a deposit to reserve your place. The first 2 trips are full, available are:

Trip #

Start date End date Duration Price
Mount Vinson 3 December 16 December 29 14 days $27,500
Mount Vinson 4 December 29 January 15 18 days $27,500

Every company has to use the same logistics partner, so the trips are all the same, only the price is different. 7summits has the lowest price as always, check it out here: Vinson 2006/2007.

Really, be quick if you want to come along!

New Kilimanjaro 2007 prices, take a skydive!

+ Per 1st January 2007 the prices will be slightly higher, due to increased park fees and higher salaries for the porters and guides as agreed with the Porters associations. You can still book for 2006 or or reserve your space for 2007, see the trips information here:

http://7summits.com/kilimanjaro/trips.php

Also new is the option to take a Sky Dive, right in front of Kili, see all the details here.
