 Smiley
Harry and Ulrike are safely esconced in Camp I at 5,800m.   If the weather is good tomorrow morning, they will continue up . . .else down.  Holding thumbs that the forecasts are accurate and drier weather will be pushing into the region from tomorrow . . . .

To all of you who have sent messages:  a very sincere thanks from the Team!  They've gt them all and have loved getting them . . . . .   ciao till next time . . .

forecast according to k2climb.net:

Synopsis K2 0804-0808 summit level Jet: A southwesterly jet will pass over K2 during Tuesday and the beginning of Wednesday. Then no jet in the area but a westerly one will be situated from Uzbekistan and Kazachstan to China and in the end of the period it will come very close to K2-area. Summit: 9000 m: During Tuesday southwest increasing to 25-30 m/s. Then turning to west and decreasing to 15-20 m/s. From Thursday 10-15 m/s. On Thursday perhaps shortly dropping to 5-10 m/s. Then again increasing to around 20 m/s. 7500 m: During Tuesday increasing to 15-20 m/s. Then about west and decreasing. At Thursday-Friday 5-10 m/s. In the end of the period 10-15 m/s. Weather: Starting unsettled due to a passing trough and quite a lot of showers. On Wednesday still a few showers, but then a ridge will move in from Afghanistan giving mainly dry conditions over K2 . At the weekend a new passing trough will give precipitation.

sounds like they shouldn't give up too early tomorrow morning!

But wasn't C1 supposed to be at 6450 m Huh If I understand the original plan correctly, they need two days from there, one to establish C2 at 7000 and the next to summit. But starting at 5800 m it'll be a toughy tomorrow  Angry
