Everest Sherpa Renji taken ill
« on: Apr 14 2006, 07:54 »

Harry, I read Renji has taken ill, maybe moving too fast up elevation.  But I hear he has now moved much lower, and now feeling better.

Please wish him well, and say hello for me, when you get a chance.  After all, he was my sherpa and was the best I feel.  He has excellent attitude, and is strong and patient.  After all, he helped me to the Everest summit!

When it comes time to choosing personal Sherpas, please give my referral.  I meant to write a letter, he was so good.  I could not ask for more.  Maybe better this year, but last year, he spoke very little English, but that did NOT hinder me at all.  We were able to communicate just fine.

Hi John.

Thanks for your email and concern; we will keep Renji down for his own safety.
Apparently quite a lot of Sherpas have been ill, so we are looking into that.

Take care and follow us on www.sightoneverest.com/blog !

Cheers,
Harry
