ABC News International has stated that Lincoln was on the Project-Himalaya/DCXP team and they state that the 3rd step is at 34,000 feet above sea level !!!      They might want to check their information better.

Wow I know that Everest is rising each year , but didnt know it was that much 
Im off to bed now , but hope that when i wake up there will be more good news of Lincoln being at ABC or even lower....Btw according to ABC News thats about 24,700 feet.
Also if this rescue is a success and we all hope it is , it will open a whole new debate about how many climbers including David Shard who were left for dead , would have really survived if helped propperly....but I leave that one for another time

This second story you have quoted has no relevance to Lincoln , as the collapsed towers Fiona Adler is mentioning are indeed in the Icefall on the South ( Nepal side ) of Everest.

I have just read a few stories that Lincoln is in ABC, but can't find confirmation so far. From ABC to BC north side the route is clear, but extremely long and tiring

Ok now there seems to be confirmation of the ABCamp story on mounteverest.net, quoting a call from Jamie McGuinness ( Peace Project/DCXP ) and Duncan Chessell ( DCXP). This would be Jamies second involvement in a rescue this year ..well done mate

I can only imagine how helpless you feel lacking information about Thomas.

I wrote you back on the sightoneverest site before it went down. I had hoped you were able to read this before it went offline. There is another link on this forum with all the latest information known about Thomas's death. When more information becomes available it will be posted on this forum as soon as we get it.

My brother Milan, camera man to the Kikstra crew, called his girlfriend "this afternoon" (CET), and reported that Harry and he were in ABC (6400 mtr). Apparently they are "busy with the events surrounding Lincoln Hall".

Per United Press International:
Lincoln Hall, the Australian climber who survived a night in the open near the summit of Mount Everest, left base camp Monday in the back of a jeep. He was expected to arrive in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, on Tuesday, and could return to Sydney in a few days after further medical treatment, the Daily Telegraph reported.
