Here's hoping Lorenzo, Noel, Slate (yea USA), Henrik, Kirk, and all of team one made it safely down to 7700, if not already, then in the next 5 or so hours.

And best wishes to Harry, Alex, Thomas and team two for a safe and successful summit attempt.

I am looking forward to hearing that Lorenzo, Noel, Ronnie and all of team "A" are safety back to 7700m or lower. I am reminded of last year when we were waiting for news on Lorenzo, Harry and Mountain John. It was a long 48 hour period.

It is difficult to get info from the high altitudes of Everest.

Just read a post from Glenda Muhl:
"I spoke to Ronnie last night - about 24 hours after he had left for the summit. He was safely back at 7700m."

Lorenzo just sent a blog dated 22 May 2006 01:04 UK time. The English version did not record but the Italian version did. Darn, I wish I had learned Italian when I was in Italy!!! Anyone speak Italian out there that could translate for us? Liana?

I've corrected this. The conversion process from WAV to MP3 sometimes gets interrupted, but fortunately it doesn't loose the original recording. It does break up a bit in the middle and he gets a little difficult to understand.

I just listened to Lorenzo's blog. I am elated and so happy for him. What a feat, he should be so proud.

Chris, please let Lorenzo know that Dave and I will be following his progress with the "Solidarity Project" and also Noel's quest in India. (Everest to sea level.)

Thank you

Latest from Lorenzo is that Ronnie is with him, back safe at ABC, but he is very tired and did not make the summit.

Thank you Lynne, for the explanation of Noel's quest for the 7 summits to sea level world record.  I thought he was just attempting Everest to sea level, which is a feat in itself.  I am wishing Noel success on this journey of journeys.  I'll look forward to updates.

So, Lorenzo isn't going to go with Noel? I think he'd forgotten that the sat phone we've lent him almost certainly won't work in India, so we wouldn't have been able to keep the blog running.
