Yes, Crampons are always a must on any glacier! Definitely for Elbrus as well.

Brand is not really important, just make sure they fit your boots, do not come off too easily, are not too weak, but also not to heavy :-)

When I did Elbrus in '04 we were told before departure that ordinary 8 point walking crampons we ok for Elbrus. This was not the case some of us spent many an hour sharpening them :-)

I would always recommend 12 point crampons.
