Ascent of Cotopaxi/Chimborazo/Aconcagua
« on: Dec 16 2003, 05:37 »

Hi there:

I'm planning an ascent of Cotopaxi and Chimborazo (ecuador); and Aconcagua (Argentina) in early 2004. As this is quite a challange for me (as an office worker), I've decided to use it as an excuse to raise funds for UNICEF. If you're interested in making a donation or are simply interested in what I'm doing then please check out my web site at: www.climb4unicef.co.uk. The site also includes 'photos of previous expeditions that I've undertaken, including Everest Base Camp; Kilimanjaro; Mt. Blanc; and Mt. Elbrus. Note that all funds raised go to the charity.

Many thanks!

Simon

Harry suggested that I post this article (which I thank him for), as I included a link to 7summits.com on my web site. Mate, I'm getting absolutely nothing out of my efforts for UNICEF, and I find comments like this to be very disappointing. This is a good cause - give me a break, please.

I think that the fact that I've spent weeks of my time after work setting up the web site speaks for itself really. Don't you?

End of conversation. I refuse to get drawn into a flame war. This isn't the place for it.
