Mt Kosiuscko??
« on: Sep 2 2004, 09:59 »

I was appalled to read that a couple have claimed to have climbed the highest mountains in  seven continents including the above which is a mere pimple somewhere in Australia.I hope they will not be too disappointed when they discover the existence of Mt Cook/Aorangi ,indubitably part of Australasia.Greg Payne

Trunl,

Erm sorry, i thought that was a universal phrase - you know, when someone says something that could potentially spark trouble, or restart an argument or a lengthy heated debate, we'd say someone opened a can of worms. In this case, mentioning Carstenz can usually start the row over which is the seventh summit. It'd be like telling Dick Bass that you thought Pat Morrow was the REAL first time Seven Summiteer - THAT would be like opening a can of worms.

Hence my rather silly post up above
