Harry called me this afternoon with a live update:

Yesterday (Tuesday) Werner, Sander and Harry got up early for a tough hike up to NC at 7000 m. New snow has fallen, but the weather was otherwise fine. When they arrived at NC the tent was covered in several centimeters of snow. They spent the night at what was, at least for Harry, a new altitude record.

This morning they all felt wacky, but other than the expected headaches there are no serious health problems. Coming down to ABC they quickly recovered from their headaches to have an easy afternoon. Boris seemed to feel better and said he's ready to give it a go for NC tomorrow.

They did encounter some small problems in ABC. The laptop appeared to have given up, which means there probably won't be any full length stories before they're all back in civilization. Also Harrys Thuraya satellite phone had a small problem, but that was quickly fixed with the help of the Dutch Thuraya support team.

The plan for tomorrow is to go back up to NC, so let's hope for more good news on Thursday!
