Hey Tanner! I wanted to ski down Elbrus this summer, but they told me that I needed a guide to show me the way. That was b.s., it's really easy to find the way down this mountain. I should have brought my skis along, it would have been really great. But as we went to the summit, around the saddle, the clouds kicked in and we were in a whiteout condition that would have prevented me to ski down from the summit anyway. But from around 5100m, it would have possible and a lot easier to go down than by foot. And for all of the acclimatization hike, skiing down would have been great too. So if you can, bring along your skis if you are able to ski on hard snow in the morning and corn snow in the afternoon! MikeW

Hi! I've planned to climb Elbrus next summer and late July would be the best date. I live in Finland right next to Russia&Moscow so travel costs shouldn't be too high My climbing experience includes 7 yrs rock climbing and I'm familiar with basic crampon techniques. I've also done some technical mountaineering in northern Norway. Physical condition: very good. Could I join in?

Altitude record 6654m. Next summer (2011) will try to up that to 7546m..

Hi Buddha,
Can I please be included on this mail list?
Thanks
Hey! I did not get any email ) um did I forget to express my interest? I might actually be going back there next summer for pictures etc, so would be fun to go together. But of course we must book through 7summits.com (for Pilgrim Tours prices), maybe I can even build a private group for us. But it all depends on 'real' jobs as with my prices I do nopt make enough to make a living out of these trips...

Hi Daisy and Harry,
Would be good to give me an email or something like that.
I sent the mail to Daisy on [email deleted] and Harry on [email deleted]
Would love to see you both on the trip and Harry would prove extremely valueable! I will try and get the website up and running tonight!

Hello ppl, I've included everyone that is interested in this journey on my "mailing-list". As I have no knowledge of Elbrus, except of what I read and heard about from friends IRL I am hoping for someone with a lot more experience to step up and maybe help organize the whole thing... HARRY! This is where you come in Would be neat with a private group instead of going with a lot of people that don't "belong" to us... I've started to gather information about each and every person that is interested in joining and putting this together in a website that I will announce within a few days. Would be nice if you all could mail me more info on yourselves. Maybe a pic or 2? Preferably larger then smaller, maybe 500x500 pixels. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
