CHO OYU,AUTUMN,2004

Hi,

I am trying to build a team to climb Cho Oyu by its normal route in September,2004.The team already has four committed members.Interested climbers are welcome to join the gang! :o

Hi Raja,
welcome to the forum. Cho Oyu sounds very nice, can you post some more info about schedule/dates and prices? Guided/unguided, shared gear/private gear needed etc?

Hi,
we plan to gettogether at kathmandu no later than August 29,2004.Leaving for the base on September 1.Duration Ex Ktm 39 days. Non guided.But two climbing sherpa support for load ferry up to the summit camp.hired group gears,including ropes and climbing hardwears,tents for bc and upper camps.food for the entire program,including high food.we have a quote from a Ktm agency for the whole package:USD 4700.per climbing member.This includes the permit parts and all transport and hotel accommodations as well.

How long would it take to get from BC to the Tibet BC of Everest? Then the mountains could be combined...

$4700 still seems rather steep. Others advertise lower prices (but then again others advertise much higher costs as well..). How much is the permit fee now?  From Nepal it's about $1500 and Tibet is lower I think.
