Hi,

Does anyone here at this forum or viewing this forum have their own personal website that they want to share with us? I'm not talking about "commercial" website but more websites about you as a person, who you are and your accomplishments.

I know trunl and Tanner have their own websites but I can't remember their URL's right now.

Come on, if you have one, add it here so that we can take a peak! Wink

I like the pic of 3 people under "Wie is Ron". I think it's you to the left then some frozen guy in the middle and then it looks like Harry to the right... Hilarious pic! :lol)

Roll Eyes  yep and I am the cool guy on the right  Cool
But we have to give Bas who is the frozen guy in the middle credit for going sledding downhill on 3300m on Denali in his boxers (and barefeet) about 10 minutes before this picture  Grin

(While not wanting anyone to go copy that sledding as it is full of crevasses and the sled has no break, it was still cool  :lol))

I have a website for my band - not really climbing info though.
http://www.tightropenet.com/  Afro

I did keep a diary of my Kili and Elbrus climbs though. Not much else in the line of climbing info unfortunately.

Hey MoT!

I just read your Elbrus trip report. The guides Oxanna and Marina were really good, I climbed with them this summer. I posted my summit picture on Elbrus in the summitlog and it is Marina who took it.

The last part of the climb to the west summit (the 400m) is one tough cookie in bad condition.  Tongue We had the same whiteout condition as you guys and it took at least one and a half hour to the summit, a neverending slog uphill. I'm sorry you didn't make it but I think it was a good decision to retreat.

We were four guys with Marina in front with a good rythm considering the conditions, but going down was hard because I was really tired but we managed to get down by 2:00pm for a 10 hours round trip to the summit.

And there were 5 guys with Oxanna who should have retreated but went to the summit anyway. There was one who panicked, couldn't move descending, another one who lost is crampons at least 4 times, couldn't walk straight, and most of them went straight to sleep for the night upon arriving at the Barrels at 4:00pm.  Huh

People underestimates Elbrus. It is more difficult than it looked. And with the conditions it can be quite hazardous, but what a beautiful place it is and definitely worth it to climb to its summit.

Ok!

Worked as a maniac for a few hours... The website is up and running with the layout all done! I would really appreciate some feedback on the website. I will fill it with contents over the coming days!

Ohh yeah, until the domain is all set you can access the website through:

http://andreasblomquist.se.loopiadns.com

Any feedback at all is welcome!

Hey Buddha!

Very cool! Well done  Cool
I like the lay out and theme of the site, quite cool and finally some useful use of flash!

You might want to add (or take a way) a beat to the music as it is not really continuous right now.
Looking forward to seeing the full site.

Ps: the links do not work  Wink

Thanks trunl,

I hope that it will turn out nice as well. Right now I am working on a back-end to be able to update the website with XML through a PHP-webinterface if that makes any sense. I'm also adding a photogallery somewhere, some how... Wink

Hey Cy,

Thanks for the kind words about my website. However it's no longer available online as I might be in the process of selling the entire concept to another climber, who also happens to frequent this website. We'll see how that turns out.

I do remember that topic on Summitpost and yes, it was kinda popular.

I looked over at SP and saw that you are posted a lot in it. Love this pic from your website btw.. looks kinda chilly! Wink

Cheers,

Andreas
