Don't know how you found this site, but those are photos from 4 or 5 buddies from the group I was in on Elbrus. My pics are under C:/Mes images...

One of the guys had his web site and told us to put our pictures on this site to share with the others on the group. A great idea!

Well, it wasn't easy to find I can tell you that!

First I had to install a trojan on your computer in order to gain access to your weblog and computer files, then...

No, seriously I was searching for Elbrus pics on Google, using the picture search and the picture of you on the summit came up on page 5 or so. I recognized it and went to look at all the other pics!

I just have to ask Mike, since I've seen several pics of these 2 guys in the same position, doing what ever it is that are doing... What are they doing?

That's funny!

These 2 guys were my best buddies on Elbrus. They are from France close to the Pyrennées and they have a tradition that when they go over one thousand meters of vertical for the first time (so 3000m, 4000m, 5000m and so on), they put their naked bum in the snow and rub it in.

This photo was taken at around 4000m (they're used to climbing in the Pyrennées at elevation around 3000m to 3500m). But the tradition ended for the 5000m mark because it was around 8h00 in the morning with a temperature of around -15c, and with the cold and the lack of oxygen, they didn't bothered to get their asses in the snow.

It took me awhile to realize that you were the same Mike we climbed Elbrus with!

Hey Charlie!

How are you doing! Still visiting the world. Congrats for your summit of Aconcagua, didn't think you would climb it after Elbrus. When were you there, I summited Aconcagua in the 3rd week of January of this year, quite an experience and a lot tougher than Elbrus.

I'm going in Antarctica to climb Vinson in January 2006, that's going to be neat. As for Koz in Australia, I guess just getting there is more complicated than climbing it. As for yourself, any plan for Denali.
