We head from Punta de Vacas on January 1. Keep an eye out for five loud Irishmen (and another separate expedition of 12 loud Irish men & women). We're taking the mountain by storm this year!  ;D

Heck, I might buy a cheap guitar in Mendoza and bring it up to Base Camp... They're fairly light. Will just have to remember to loosen the strings each night to stop them breaking in the cold!

Hi Gina,

good luck on your expedition. Have you ever climbed with Jaime Vinals from Guatemala? He's a good friend of mine and has climbed in Costa Rica as well.

Take care,
Harry

 Hello Harry
No, never climbed with Jaime Vinals. But I have hear about him.
He is the only Centroamerican  to Summit Everest so far, and had climbing the Seven Summits. For now!
Hope to change that soon, and  to find sponsorship for Everest.
He is very lucky to be sponsor.
Iam from Costa Rica and Iam trying to be the first Costa Rican to Summit Mount Everest
So Aconcagua will be a step forward to my dream.

MikeW,

In that case there will be at least three people from Québec in basecamp. One person in our little group is from Jonquière. Will arrive around the 6'th. We still haven't decided which route we're going for.

Gineth,

Very nice site!
I hope I can find the time one day and make something like that one.

See you both in Argentina!

Corsair.

Gineth,

I like your website very much! Looks extremely professional and if that doesn't attract some sponsors to you then I don't know what will ;)

Good luck on Aconcagua. Hope that you don't get into trouble as on Elbrus!

Hey Corsair!

We're arriving the 10th in Mendoza, so around the 14th or 15th to basecamp on the False Polish route (Vacas Valley). We will try to get in touch, that would be fun!

Hi, everybody. I'm from Argentina, and I'll be in Aconcagua 8-23 January.
I don't post very often here because my english is very primitive, but I read yours post. You are very funny. I hope meet you there.
I'll try the messner or the french route in the south face, and go down via normal route. If everythings go well, I'll summit on 15th Jan.
Bye, and good luck.

Muchas gracias.

Felicitaciones trunl.
For the others who doesn't have his spanish skill, we are going to be in Plaza Francia 9 and 10th of Jan. If anybody goes to see the south face on this days, come to say hi, and drink some "mate" with us.
Our tent is a mountain hardware grey and orange. If you see it in the NW route, its because our climb was succesfully. ;D
Bye... and see you there.
