The 50% concession in royalty fee granted to climbing expeditions during
2002-2004 will now continue into 2005. The status of 6500m peaks as
trekking peaks will also remain applicable during the current season.
This important decision was made at an urgent meeting between the
Alpine Club of Pakistan and the Minister and Secretary Tourism held
at the Ministry on Feb 10, 2005.
Royalty in US$ For each additional member exceeding 7 per team an
additional fee at the following rate will be charged.
1 K-2 (8611 (M) 12,000 $ 3,000
2 8001-8500 (M) 9,500 $ 3,000
3 7501-8000 (M) 4,000 $ 1,000
4 7001-7500 (M) 2,500 $ 500
5 6000-7000 (M) 1,500 $ 300
