The main debate over the seventh summit seems to be between  Carstensz Pyramid and Kosciusko. However the Hutchinson Encyclopedia lists Mount Wilhelm as the highest peak in the continent of Oceania, placing Carstensz as part of Indonesia in Asia. Do you know who was the first to climb the seven summits that included this peak?

Actually I already named Wilhelm in the 7 summits discussion, see the FAQ

But of course the border between Irian Jaya & PNG has nothing to do with continents (continents do tend not to run in straight lines...).
Check out the new National Geographic atlas and see the dept of the sea surrounding PNG/Irian Jaya vs the depth of the sea betwen Irian Jaya and Indonesia...
