Youngest female to climb the Seven Summits
« on: Mar 4 2005, 20:24 »

I am new here, so HI.

I was wondering how old the youngest female was that climbed the seven summits.

I am going to be attempting my first of the 7 in December and was curious about the ages of the women that have climbed all 7.

Thanks.

I checked out the statistics on the site, but one of the women does not have her DOB stated.

Hi ICAN,

welcome on the forum, thanks for your post.
Currently the youngest female 7 summitteer is Rebecca Stephens, finishing Carstensz pyramid version at age 33y,050d.

But Danielle Fisher is on her way to climb Everest this May, she is only 20 and it's her last of the 7 summits!

How old are you? 8)

old, brave or stupid maybe :-\, but I am generally very determined....so we shall see, will let you know how it goes, have money for three of them, after that I may have to start working hard to find the rest, as my day job wont quite be enough......

Dont think of it in that way. I am older than you (in my 30s) and I intend to climb them one at a time....If I can succeed, good. If not, it still would be one hell of an experience....

Btw, which 3 are you planning to do first? and when?

Hey I am 34 ... 35 this year and don't consider myself to be old or stupid! Definitely brave and determined though ... I am from the UK and plan to climb Kili this year in Sept, Denali in 2007 and Everest 2008 ... the rest later!
Anyone interested in attempting them in this order?
I don't have a lot of climbing under my belt ... did Inca trail and Waynu Picchu last year which was good and gave me mountain bug! No mountains near me ... living on south coast of england! Rather flat unfortunately ... by the way ... any Brits out there???

Hey Harry

I would still love to know who holds the record for being the "oldest" to start and finish the 7 summits.  (You always come up with the stats.)

Thanks - MC    :D
