Received a long recording from Lorenzo from Base Camp this morning. Weather windy but sunny. Have been doing some acclimatization hikes, including a visit to the Mallory memorial commemorating the 1924 British expedition. Moving to Intermedia Base Camp tomorrow. Alex has arrived, but Sergey has had to be flown bck to Moscow. Have also now met Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Very grateful for the superb Russian hospitality.

Hello Harry, 7 summits & 7 summits-club

I have been following your "climb" from the beginning of your journey.  I wish you success and everything good.  Remember...the journey is the destination.

I am the sister of John Christiana.  Would you please let him know I am following this "great adventure"?  I am very excited for John and everyone in this expedition.

P.S.  I love Lorenzo's blogs!

Sincerely,
Mary Clare Reinhardt   (mc)

Hi folks

While I'm slaving away now at the end of my working day, you lucky folks are within touching distance of Everest (relatively speaking of course - at least compared to me!!!).  Things seem to be going better now - long may they continue!!!

Echoing Mary Clare's comments - Lorenzo, keep serving up the blogs, they're great!!!
