I'd love to go back, I did it in 2003. But I'm going to wait a couple of years and go back with my kids. You should consider the Machame route or anything except the Marangu.

Cold be interested in climbing killmanjaro in august 2005 as found out yesterday that my daughter will be in Africa around that time and is hoping to climb it, but would like to know more details, is your trip from U.K. and what dates etc. I am at present in Florida but returning U.K. end of June, and what standard? I am a hiker, not climber, but having done every peak in the Lake District, and am a bit of a scrambler, and live in the Pennines, so I may deserve nickname 'mountain' woman! Also not a 'spring chicken' but a "glamour grannie", ruthfinn@hotmail.com
