Message from Lorenzo sadly reflecting on the news that Noel and Lynne are withdrawing from their attempt to climb Everest.
The first group have now left for the final assault on the mountain and Lorenzo's group will be following in a day or so.

Hi Lynne & Noel,
Listened to news of your decision with mixed emotions. Disappointed from your viewpoint, as I know you both put in long and arduous preparations. But at the same time happy that you'll be home soon, safe and sound. As Lorenzo said in his blog, the mountain will always be there for future attempts.
Very proud of you both,
Greg.

Harry just wrote in an SMS that he's on his own in ABC now. It took him little over 6 hours to hike the 22 km, ascending about 1200 meters. He packed all Noel and Lynn's gear, it will be brought down to BC by a porter tomorrow.
He expects James and the Russians to arrive tomorrow, the rest of the group two days later. The Norwegians are now at 7700 m, preparing for summit day tomorrow.
Harry says it's
very
cold in ABC!
