Title: Suunto battery
Post by: 617 on Aug 1 2005, 22:06
Can you change this yourself without risk of screwing up the watch?

Or let a jeweller or an outdoor store do it?

No problem, just use a thin coin.
Problem is the rubber ring, used to keep it waterproof. Especially when it is older that might be a pain to get back in correctly, but at least now you know this and your jeweller and many outdoor store people don't know it ;D

By the way, Suunto sells replacement sets especially for this. This includes a new lid and new rubber ring, so you watch will still be waterproof if you change the battery.

A good outdoor store should have these, advised if you notice that your rubber ring has dried, broken or is worn.

I have a suunto and couldnt get the back off no matter what. I brought it to a jeweller and he couldnt either. Had to unscrew the complete back off to change the battery. Pain >:(

Also cant seem to get it to work with my pc either.

I remember having a PC problem at first, I think it had to do with available ports or so.. Try removing some other (USB) or serial plugs, that might help  :P
