Title: scarpa phantom 6000 versus light
Post by: hans on Feb 8 2006, 15:08

I am planning to climb Great Trango Tower (6286m in Karakoram, Pakistan) via the alpine route this juli and looking for a pair of shoes.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the Scarpa phantom 6000 and the light version besides the 500 grams weight difference?
Or does anyone recommend other boots for these kind of technical climbs?

Will you guys recon this type of boot is suitable for a mixed route?
Ofcourse I want to buy boots that I can use for several expeditions, however I don't think I am up for an 8000 peak.

thanks for the advise,
