Mr. Park has summited Everest for the 2nd time.  He has summited from the north side and plans to descend on the south side.

He has achieved all 7 summits, all 14 8000ers and the 2 poles.  He is the only person to complete the "Grand Slam"!

May 12, 2006 update

Earlier today, a group of Sherpas working with Philippine GMA7 expedition were climbing above C-2 on the south side.  They took some images of Park Young-Seok and Sherap Jangbu Sherpa.  (They both looked healthy.)  Park and Sherap Jangbu hope to reach BC today.
