Title: New 7 summiteers added, statistics updated!
Post by: 7summits on Mar 7 2006, 23:13
Yes, finally all the new 7 summiteers are added  :P ! Not everything is complete yet, but we added the info as much as possible.

- Now there are 164 people on the combined Carstensz Pyramid & Kosciuszko list (http://7summits.com/info/7stats/statistics_all_basic.php) (people who climbed one or the other or both).
- Now there are 92 on the Carstensz Pyramid list (yes, made it to the first 100 ;-)
- And 125 on the Kosciuszko list

Many people were added, some interesting names:
- The Roches, Bertrand (Zebulon) (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Roche) and Claire (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Roche%20Bernier), already finished a few years ago, but only now applied. Damn that was a lot of extra work altering all the data of the rest :P They paraglided from all mountains!
- Dmitry Moskalev, only the 2nd Russian to enter the list! Closely followed by Countrymen Viktor Bobok (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Bobok) & of course my friend Alex Abramov (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Abramov) & our teammate  Boris Sedusov (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Sedusov)
- Søren Gudmann (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Gudmann) did it in an alomost record time (only Vern Tejas recently was faster) and he was the first Dane to summit the 7.
- Neal Mueller  (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Mueller)was quite young just like Clare O'Leary (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=O\'%20Leary) the first Irish woman to climb the 7 summits and David Liaņo (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Liano) from Mexico who was quiet young and pretty fast as well.
- My good friend Heber Orona (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Orona) became the first Argentinean climber to summit the seven, when he stepped up to the ski pole on Vinson, together with  Yours truly, Harry Kikstra (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Kikstra).
- I was the 3rd Dutchman, but there was also the 3rd Italian,  Guiseppe Pompili (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Pompili)
- Ed Diffendal (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Diffendal), Shokichi Saito (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Saito) &  Vladimir Nosek (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Nosek) almost complete the new comers, but last but certainly not least the charming Ms Cecilie Skog (http://7summits.com/info/stats2/index2.php?_=d&familyname=Skog) 8)

Congratulations to all, check their detail pages for all dates.
