Title: running at altitude
Post by: iccp on Apr 8 2006, 13:25
Are there special things to consider about running at higher altitude.  Trail running etc on peaks like Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua.  Aconcagua's Normal Route seems to be an ideal trail run, nice switchbacks and good trail.

I read about Matt Carpenter US runner.  He's done high altitude marathons www.skyrunner.com.

You may also want to check out www.seanburch.com.  He holds the world record for the speed ascent of Kilimanjaro and the US speed ascent of Aconcagua.
