Title: Internet access in the Elbrus region
Post by: Moss on Jul 7 2007, 10:53
Hi,
I was wondering if anybody who may have been to the Baksan valley in the Elbrus region recently would be able to share insight regarding internet connectivity options in the area.

I have done some google searching, and it appears that there is an internet cafe in Terskol, and some lobby access in a couple of hotels. Having said that, some of the articles are now 3 or 4 years old, and I was wondering if anybody had a more recent perspective.

I'd really like to know if there are any hotels in the area that provide in-room wired or wireless internet - I know, I'm dreaming aren't I?  :)

Anyways, if anybody has any useful information in this regard, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

2 years ago there was dial-up access in an internet cafe in Terskol. Very slow to load up images. I'd say wireless isn't too likely! Unless a LOT has changed in 2 years
