Title: Andrew Brash summits Everest!
Post by: m.c. reinhardt on May 28 2008, 05:58
Do you remember Andrew Brash? Unfortunately, probably not. He was one of the climbers involved with the rescue of Lincoln Hall on Everest in May of 2006. Dan Mazur received well deserved credit (probably the decision maker and without that one decisive moment, Lincoln most likely would not have survived. Andrew, Myles, Jamie McGuinness (I think) and the following sherpas were also involved in the rescue in addition to others such, as Alexander Abramov (provided sherpa support, oxygen, etc.), who were working hard from ABC.

Sherpas names per Alex:
1. Nima Wangde Sherpa
2. Passang Sherpa
3. Furba Rushakj Sherpa
4. Dawa Tenzing Sherpa
5. Dorjee Sherpa
6. Mingma Sherpa
7. Mingma Dorjee Sherpa
8. Pemba Sherpa
9. Pemba Nuru Sherpa
10. Passang Gaylgen Sherpa
11. Lakcha Sherpa.
Also Jangbu Sherpa, who was with Dan, Myles and Andrew when Lincoln was originally found near the 2nd step.

Well, Andrew Brash just summited Everest on May 23rd at approximately 11:00 am. He was with SummitClimb (the expedition company Dan Mazur guides for). Story here (http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/News/CanadaWorld/2008/05/24/5656226-sun.html). Big time congrats to Andrew!!! This is especially sweet as Andrew along with Myles had to abort their summit attempt in '06 due to the rescue of Lincoln. Dan was guiding the two climbers.
