ON JANUARY THE 19 2004 I WILL LEAVE THE UK TO ATEMPT TO CLIMB ACONCAGUA. I SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRENDS FOR THERE SURPORT ITS BEEN NEARLY TWO YEARS IN THE MAKING. DREAMS DO COME TRUE , IF ANYBODY WOULD LIKE ANY INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT ME . GARY GREENWOOD

I'm from Argentina (buenos Aires) - I take my hat for U, the Aconcagua is too much cool, and don't forget visit Puente del Inca, were there are a Thermal Water (my english sucks, sorry) , I't just before de Aconcagua Pack.

The normal route is no more then a hard slog uphill...nothing technical about it. loose rock makes it difficult to walk...you can go al the wy to the summit using skipoles for support..so

Also not that tecnical..you have snow and ice offcourse and its cold..but its 2 i think

i read that mt. vinson is more like a 1 with the only challenge being the cold and remoteness.

Seriously. I got food poisoning in December in Puenta Del Inca and ended up in hospital. Had to abandon my climb thanks to a dose of Salmonella Enteritis...

Yeah, but Harry's illness lasted only 2 days - unfortunately I had to get taken off on a mule. I know Harry summitted on 1 Jan (thankfully) along with 2 others. Steve from the group summitted on Dec 30th. Unfortunately my sickness lasted around 9 days...  :-[

I'll probably return next year. (oh yeah, forgot to mention I also had Campylobacter Jejunii in my system according to the hospital reports..)
