Title: The Summit of Oceania
Post by: The Legend on Jan 11 2004, 00:33
I've learnt, that the summit of Oceania is Mt. Wilhem (Papua New Guinea) (4509 m.) And I can't find Carstensz in a world atlas.. ???
Can any one tell me, is it me and my atlas or am I right about Mt. Wilhelm is the Summit of Oceania?

Carstensz is on Irian Jaya
named also Puncak Jaya
(Carstensz-piramide)
AustralaziŽ 5030meters or 16502 feet

Mt. Wilhem is on Papua New Guinea
Elevation (feet) 14,793
Elevation (meters) 4,509

Thus lower then Carstensz.....your world atlas is not a very good 1 m8

either your not looking hard enough, or your atlas is old (carstensz is not shown in some of the old ones because it was not well known or because it was not measured then). more likely the old, as most people's atlas' are over 10 years old.
