Title: Mallory Camera
Post by: trunl on Jan 20 2004, 01:07
In spring 2004, everestnews.com will conduct a search for the retreival of the camera on the Mallory/ Irvine Expedition. That expedition was beleived, but not proved to have reached the summit of Mount Everest, which would make them the first summiters of the great mountain. The search will only be to retreive the camera, which they beleive to know where it is. The camera is beleived to have photographs containing pictures from the summit, which will prove them the first summiters of Everest.

Well last time they searched the area below the 3 steps...they found the body of Mallory that time and investigated it..they found a lot of artifacts but not the camera.
All the clothing had a name tag sown in it..so they are sure its was him.
Maybe Irvine had the camera or maybe he lost it...in that case they have to find Irvine or search a big area between malloy's body and the steps..maybe even higher up.
It will be like looking for a needle in a haystack (how do you write that?) i think and my guess is its just a way to finance your everest expediton and during the "search" they will climb it  ;)
