Post by: Nacho on Apr 2 2004, 03:44
Hi, Im from Argentina. Im planning climb Denali on June via west rib.
Does anybody made it?

I accept any recommendation about gear (friends? which size?), number partners (whe are 3), logistics, etc.

Thank you, and sorry about my english.

PD: I was in the french route in the south face of Aconcagua. I had to go back at 6300 mts (Glaciar Superior). If I can help you, its ok.

Hi Nacho,
welcome to the forum; it depends if you take the full West Rib or just the part above 14k camp on the West Buttress route. For the full route you will need all the equipment needed for the normal route and additionally at least a helmet, 2 technical iceaxes, and climbing hardware: quite a few slings, aiders, and a small variation of chocks (or friends but these are heavier though more flexible) & pitons.

Have not climbed the route myself though, so cannot give you experience induced advice, hope this helps.
