Title: La Sportiva Nuptse Boots? (Aconcagua)
Post by: pura vida on Nov 30 2004, 20:57
Hello, I am going to Aconcagua in January and need some new boots, any good ideas.
I hear about the Sportiva Nuptse Boots are good  for high altitude mountains.
Please if anybody know if this boots will be ok for Aconcagua,Denali.ect.
Thanks

The Nupste is ideal for Aconcagua since very little snow is encountered. I would'nt take them on Denali inless you know you have warm feet. Also don't think about trying the Nupste unless you have very wide feet.

Hey Pura Vida!

Looks like a pretty nice boot!

I have a pair of Salomon Pro Thermic double boots which are similar to the Nuptse as far as I can see and they were great on Elbrus. I'm bringing them on Aconcagua next month.

With a pair of overboots, I'm sure they will be fine on Denali too. I'll tell you about  that next year!  ;)
