Still recovering from the shock of last weekend's tragedy, Harry seems to be slowly getting ready for a second attempt. Here's what he writes:

"Am feeling a bit better. Just watched the DVD of our uganda trip once again. Really miss you all at home! Going up again tomorrow. Will try to summit all together at the 30th or 31st!"

I can tell that he's feeling much better, because he also writes:

"Please forward me all replies on the forum from the past ten days. And oh, can you please get me some more Thuraya credit because I'm running out..."

Ok, this time it's me signing off. I'm leaving for a little break. Erik will stay in contact with Harry and keep this site up to date.

Thanks for all your work, Romke.

To the 7 Summits & 7 Summits-Club

May 30th or the 31st sounds like a great day to summit Everest!  Wishing you all the best.  I hope there will be a good window and that everyone is feeling strong.  Have the ropes been completely fixed at this time?  If so, it sounds like the team will have a good chance of summitting.

Good Luck!

Your message duly passed on.

They're going down to IBC today but from a message this morning it looks like most of the team will be heading back up to ABC for the final chance to summit starting on the 28th.

Chris/Romke

Please pass on my best wishes to the team for a successful summit and I'll be thinking of you at the weekend when I'm trekking up Binnian on Sunday 29th (one of the considerably lower than Everest, Mourne Mountains in N Ireland).

Particularly give my best wishes to Alex, Harry and Lorenzo - they definitely are determined chaps given Alex's encounter with Maoist rebels at the start of the expedition and Harry's problems recently and the tragic news of Marko.  Tell them to take care and stay together as a team and for all to help each other survive.  Just don't lose your lives, don't take unnecessary risks - it will always be there for another attempt at a different time when the weather may be kinder than it has been this season.

However, here's hoping and praying you will all descend safely and quickly after a successful summit.

Best of luck to the entire 7 summits team
