Occupation: For the past 20 years, Sue Ershler served in a number of management positions in the Telecommunications industry for Qwest, Verizon and United Technologies
Communications Corporation. Formerly as Regional Vice President, Sue was responsible for leading the Internet Service Provider sales and service organization nationwide.
Sue's organization focused on providing advanced broadband networking solutions to the corporation's largest corporate customers and represented over $600 million in revenue.

Sue balances her time between her professional career and training for mountain climbing. While on vacation, she began climbing in 1992 with her husband Phil. Since that time she has climbed 31 peaks over 14,000 feet including
17 successful ascents of Mt. Rainier.
Sue is founder of Ershler International focused on providing slide illustrated inspirational presentations and related activities highlighting the couple's Seven Summits journey.

Education: BA, Business Administration - Marketing, Washington State University, 1979

Accomplishments:
• Honored with eleven annual President's Club sales awards including the exclusive national award -"Regional Sales Manager of the Year"
• Climbed to the summit of Mt. Everest on May 16, 2002 with her husband Phil becoming, "The first married couple to climb the Seven Summits together", (the highest peak on each of the world's seven continents).
• Sue became the 12th American woman to climb Mt. Everest and the fifth American woman to complete the Seven Summits.

Family: Phil Ershler, husband, three older brothers and parents married 50 years.
Phil Ershler is a world-renowned climber/guide and partner in International Mountain Guides. He has professionally
guided expeditions worldwide for the past 25 years. Phil's 1984 ascent of Mt. Everest earned him the title of "First American to ascend Mt. Everest's north side". In 1989, Phil became one of only a handful of mountaineers to have successfully climbed all of the Seven Summits. Locally, Phil has more than 400 successful climbs of Mt. Rainier and over 20 successful ascents of Mt. McKinley.

Ershler's Seven Summits Journey: In the spring of 2001, Phil and Sue reached the Balcony of Mt. Everest at
27,600' before descending. Determined to reach the top, they tried again in 2002 and successfully completed the
Seven Summits.
