I would like to acknowledge Chet Wade as my climbing instructor and partner.
He was my friend, my father and grandfather that I never had as well as my only mentor. He was my inspiration for completing the 7 Summits and I look forward to seeing him in the next life.
Personal bio:
I was born with liver and lung complications and spent the first three weeks of my like in the hospital. As a boy I developed asthma and bronchitis and was told by my doctor not to participate in sports.
So, I excelled in schooling and graduated high school with honors at the age of 16. I became a member of the Professional Actors Guild and worked as a model as well as an actor.
I attended Mesa Community College and Arizona State University where I completed four years of study in three and also graduated with honors.
I worked with REI, Inc. for almost ten years during which I became a Barnett-trained Mastertech, white-water raft guide, certified EMT and a technical rock climbing instructor.
In addition I coached and instructed with Landmark Education Corporation for 4 years before I founded Enzymology Research Center, Inc., a contract manufacturer of nutritional supplements.
I then became a licensed phlebotomist, certified nutritional consultant and a certified nutritional microscopist. I will publish a book on enzymes, become one of America's most sought after and highest paid health and fitness educators, be honored with 11 honorary doctorate degrees from the world's top universities and be recognized as one of the world's foremost health gurus.
I didn't listen to my doctor when he told my not to participate in any sport. By the time I was 13 I ran my first marathon.
From there I competed in over fifty 5K and 10K races as well as completed a half Ironman. I won the Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim 50 mile race across the Grand Canyon and back just six months before I rode my bicycle solo from coast-to-coast across America. I came back and finished over 50 biathlons and 23 road bike races (Cat V).
I technical rock climbed for over four years doing hundreds of climbs as well as over 30 multi-pitch spires before starting my mountaineering career.
I will complete the "Colorado 54" next year as well as the 50 peaks in the High Pointers Club. As for the future I will compete in the Race Across America and also sail around
the world.
