Everest route: Northeast ridge
Everest partners: Russell Brice (HIMEX)
Everest remarks: The last of Max’s continental summits. Reached the top at 05:50AM on Monday May 15th 2006 in bitterly cold conditions resulting in frostbite to some members of the expedition.

Carstensz route: Normal
Carstensz partners: Christine Boskoff (Mountain Madness)
Carstensz remarks: Quite an adventure getting to Base Camp, and perhaps the most technical of all the Seven Summits.

Kosciuszko route: Normal
Kosciuszko partners: None
Kosciuszko remarks: Having traveled more than halfway around the globe for Kosciuszko, Max thought of “hopping” to nearby New Zealand to climb something more challenging in the Southern Alps. Five days later he summited Mount Aspiring.

Climbing bio:
Other than the 7 (or rather 8) summits, Max climbed the following as training and preparation for the Seven Summits: Mont Blanc in Sept 01, Cho Oyo in Sept 03, Mount Aspiring in Mar 04, Gasherbrum I and II (without success) in Jul 04, Ama Dablam in Apr 05, and the Matterhorn in Jul 05.
Max also skied the last degree to both Poles (North and South). He began climbing big mountains in 2001 (Kilimanjaro) and it was just a personal challenge at the time.

Max has extensively documented (video, photo, and daily journals) all his expeditions, and has been using these at various schools, universities and clubs around the country -and region- to motivate the young generation.

personal bio:
Max studied Monetary Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has been married to Pascale since 1989, and they have two children (Edgar and Kelly). Max has been an avid sportsman all his life. He has been crowned National Champion on more than one occasion and in more that one discipline and has won numerous trophies both locally and abroad in several sports.

Because of his achievements, the President of the Lebanese Republic has decorated Max twice. He was knighted in December 2003, and in May 2006, he was upgraded to the rank of “Officer of the National Order of the Cedar”.
