Additional InfoSkip has made his living out of guiding, the following is taken from his website:

"Skip Horner has been an international travel and mountain guide for 30 years, and personally guides each of these trips.

When he summited Mt. Everest in 1992 he became the first person to guide the 7 Summits, the highest peak on each continent. He has climbed and guided extensively in all of the world’s major mountain ranges, and many of the more obscure ranges.

As a river guide, he led or participated in the first descents of 12 of the world’s major rivers including the Zambezi, the Yangtze, the Bio-Bio, the Yarkand, and rivers in Nepal, Madagascar, Turkey, China and others.

As a travel guide he has led parties to many of the world’s most remote places, including crossing the Sahara on camels, bird watching in Nepal, Bhutan and Africa, camping on the islands and the interior of Antarctica, tiger-watching in India, caribou-watching in the Arctic, flights to the North Pole, cruising the Turquoise Coast of Turkey, and trekking in Patagonia and the Himalayas.

Skip is an easygoing and personable guide whose greatest thrill is helping his clients reach their goals, whether it’s a mountain top, a particularly remote destination, or that elusive species of bird. His knowledge of the culture, the language and the natural history of these areas, gained from 30 years of far-flung travel, adds depth and texture to your experience."
