Additional InfoDavid was the youngest to complete the 7 summits at age 29 in 1995, but the record has been broken a few times since.
Keaton is the fourteenth mountaineer in the world to have completed both versions of the 'Seven Summits'.
He is the only person in the world to have climbed both the 'Seven Summits' and all 50 of the U.S. state highpoints so far.

He is a part of the Everest peace climbing team: "The Everest Peace Mountaineers" will go to Pakistan to climb as a symbol to the world that "we all can get along". This international team of mountaineers, which contains Muslims, Christians, and Jew, will symbolize the countries of the world coming together to climb Gasherbrum II (G2).
This mountain while being one of the 14 largest in world, is only a few miles from the disputed area where Pakistan and India are at war.

Last year they climbed Mt Ararat, the sacred mountain in Turkey.

Update from David:
"Most of my energies over the past year and a half have been directed toward co-founding a new 501c3 non-profit to clear landmines overseas. We currently have three teams working in Cambodia and are making good progress. Recently, they have been pulling nearly 100 landmines a week out of the ground. Thanks David, great work!
