Additional InfoAnother physician;
Married to Ginette Harrison (#39)

They met on Everest and summitted hand in hand on 7 October 1993. They continued the 7 summits together and climbed many peaks later on until Ginette died on Dhaulagiri, late 1999.

More info and climbing resume of both of them can be found on http://www.everestnews.com/ginette.htm :

In his own words:

"We went on our honeymoon to Cho Oyu and both summited in September, I believe it was the 21st. I attempted Kangchenjunga in spring of 97 and led the expedition in spring of 98. I got to about 8450m in 98 and Ginette reached the summit to become the first woman in the world to climb this peak on 18 May 1998. We both reached the central summit of Shishapangma in September 1998, while this doesn't bag the peak for 8000 counters it was 8008meters. I got to about 8400m on Makalu and Ginette summitted on 22 May 1999. Gary"
