Additional InfoMauricio Purto Arab is Doctor Surgeon of the Catholic University.

As of 1988, and with different people, he ascended Cho-Oyu, Denali, Vinson, Gasherbrum II and Shishapagma; in 1992 he climbed Everest.
This last scaling already belongs to the collective memory of Chile due to the events that happened between their expedition and the one of Rodrigo Jordán. In the long run, he would not be the first Chilean on the top of the planet.
