New Aconcagua dates and prices online
Our
2004/2005 Aconcagua trips are online now. The prices
are the same as last year! Still thousands $$ less than the big US guys! We offer trips from
December-January. Remember: even if only one person
signs up we will go! But most trips already have participants signed up for
them, so do not miss your chance to climb to the summit of
South America.
We have added a new route due to popular demand: Aconcagua
from all sides!
This means you go up the beautiful Vacas valley, climb the
Polish traverse route and descent the faster Normal route, so you get the best
of all routes and see all sides of Aconcagua using non-technical routes! Only 2
dates this season, so book it before it's gone
Also this year we offer climbs up the
Polish Glacier itself. Private trips only as this is a technical climb.
Another new addition to our trips is the option to climb 6000m Cerro
Plata in 6 days as an acclimatization for Aconcagua. A very nice climb for
only $480 and no park fees!
All trips can now be booked using the
online bookingform
"K2 higher than Everest, Everest no longer one of the
7summits!" April fools...
This was the heading of the
April fools gag we sent out as we felt everybody was getting to serious.
When our friends at MountEverest.net
picked it up and even enhanced
the story all hell broke loose on the internet climbing community.
Over 1700 people checked out the
post on the forum. Some were fooled and/or replied, see a
collection of replies here.
That same night I even got a Google alert telling me that K2 was
higher than Everest!
Only one person signed off from the mailing list, so I guess you
enjoyed it or just couldn't care less...

DVD of the month April
New additions to the site!
Many
new pictures: check out Fred
Triep's Kilimanjaro pictures, Tim Hirst's Aconcagua tripreport and pictures,
Rob Milnes new Vinson pictures
and Carstensz pix by
Rob & myself. Send them as ecards, or register and add your own!
Yet another new forum! We upgraded again, loads of new features, sign up and
check them out. We also added a new summitlog
board, so if you have climbed one of the 7summits, let
the world know here!
On
top of many pages you will now see Google ads. This means the ads are based on
the content of the page and therefore interesting for the site visitor. Now you
can check out our advertising competition, while keeping our prices low!
Also
there have been reports of members who have seen flying... yaks on the forum!
You have to sign up to see them, but if you catch them they might reward you
with altitude points. Unless it is an evil yak of course...
