Hello
all
you
(armchair)
Mountaineers!
here is a special edition of your favorite newsletter as there is a lot of
Everest news and we have a new youngest 7summiteer!
- Lots of Everest news with a new youngest 7summiteer!
- Last call for Vinson 2004/2005. Almost full, 7summits.com again cheapest and now
unguided climbs as well!
- Yearly REI sale has started.
- New updated poster shop on 7summits.com with May discount,
cheaper worldwide S&H rates.
Read about the new youngest 7 summiteer, Britton Keeshan, who summited Everest a
few hours ago today! All of this news can be found on the forum, you can
subscribe and get news when it's posted!
More important Everest news from the past week: we have first ascents,
fatalities and the speed record has been broken again!
Vinson expeditions , almost full, book now!!!!
- Reserve and Book now: Vinson
2004/2005. If you are interested in climbing Vinson, email us. The
dates and prices are already online for those seriously interested, for the
first time it is also possible to climb unguided if you are an experienced
mountaineer.
But we just got word from the logistics operator that the trips
are filling up fast as there is limited capacity, so please let us know
immediately if you want to come and pay a deposit to reserve your place.
Every company has to use the same logistics partner, so the
trips are all the same, only the price is different. 7summits has the lowest
price as always, check it out here: Vinson
2004/2005.
Really, be quick if you want to come along!
This might be interesting for all climbers and hikers who want
to stock up on good but cheap gear: the
yearly REI sale!

The following was sent in the last newsletter as well, but for
the new subscribers: here are the recent site updates, New Kilimanjaro and
Aconcagua trips!
New additions to the site!
Of course we have updated the 7summits statistics, check
them out here.
Many
new pictures: check out Fred
Triep's Kilimanjaro pictures, Tim Hirst's Aconcagua tripreport and pictures,
Rob Milnes new Vinson pictures
and Carstensz pix by
Rob & myself. Send them as ecards, or register and add your own!
Yet another new forum! We upgraded again, loads of new features, sign up and
check them out. We also added a new summitlog
board, so if you have climbed one of the 7summits, let
the world know here!
On
top of many pages you will now see Google ads. This means the ads are based on
the content of the page and therefore interesting for the site visitor. Now you
can check out our advertising competition, while keeping our prices low!
Also
there have been reports of members who have seen flying... yaks on the forum!
You have to sign up to see them, but if you catch them they might reward you
with altitude points. Unless it is an evil yak of course...
Kilimanjaro trips for 2004: same price, new route: Rongai!
Remember there are plenty of other affordable expeditions available:
Kilimanjaro:
we
have

our 2004
prices

as 2002 and 2003!
Book
a
7summits.com
Kili
and
safari
trip
and
enjoy
the
summit
of
Africa
for a great price; all trips are fully customizable.
For Euro countries the trips have become about 20% cheaper, so
enjoy the low US dollar while it lasts and book a fully serviced 7day (on the
mountain, 9 days in total) Kili expedition from 790 €uro!
We already organized some trips, but now officially: we added the Rongai
Route a route as 'easy' as the normal route, but without the huts and much
more quiet and from the north side, spending time at Mawenzi peak before heading
up to the summit. You might even see elephants on the way! Check out all prices
and details on the trips
page.
New Aconcagua dates and prices online
Our
2004/2005 Aconcagua trips are online now. The prices
are the same as last year! Still thousands $$ less than the big US guys! We offer trips from
December-January. Remember: even if only one person
signs up we will go! But most trips already have participants signed up for
them, so do not miss your chance to climb to the summit of
South America.
We have added a new route due to popular demand: Aconcagua
from all sides!
This means you go up the beautiful Vacas valley, climb the
Polish traverse route and descent the faster Normal route, so you get the best
of all routes and see all sides of Aconcagua using non-technical routes! Only 2
dates this season, so book it before it's gone
Also this year we offer climbs up the
Polish Glacier itself. Private trips only as this is a technical climb.
Another new addition to our trips is the option to climb 6000m Cerro
Plata in 6 days as an acclimatization for Aconcagua. A very nice climb for
only $480 and no park fees!
All trips can now be booked using the
online bookingform
That's it for now, hope you enjoyed this newsletter, if not, just click the
unsubscribe link and you are off
Looking
forward
to
seeing
you
on
the
new site, remember you can post
on the forum and upload
your pictures and send them as ecards at the images gallery!,
thanks
and
keep
climbing,
Harry
