Three weeks on Denali’s West Buttress in May 2001, climbing for Warchild with Jose: skis and sleds up the Kahiltna, the headwall and the ridge to 17,000 ft, a season with a 15 % success rate, and the summit at 8 pm on 16 May as the eighteenth person on top that year.
