By common sense, yes: Everest is a final exam, not a class. Nepal is writing a law that would make previous high-altitude experience a condition of an Everest permit; how many 7,000 m and 8,000 m climbs it will require is still being debated, and ExplorersWeb does not expect it to apply before spring 2027.
