Canadian alpinist Barry Blanchard's follow-up to The Calling, titled The Echo: Stories from the Edge of Survival, will be published by Patagonia this fall. The book covers ageing, fatherhood and recovery from a traumatic brain injury, alongside reflections on his major climbs in the Canadian Rockies, Alaska, the Himalaya and beyond.
