Biografía
Debbie Bulten, of Cambridge, Ontario, came to the mountains from ultra-running. Kilimanjaro in 2016 was her first big mountain; she went on to Elbrus in July 2017, Aconcagua in January 2018 and Vinson in January 2019. Denali turned her back twice, in 2018 and 2019, with high-altitude pulmonary edema; she climbed Kosciuszko in 2020 and reached the top of Denali in 2021. She completed the 7 summits on Everest on 24 May 2023 and climbed Lhotse within the following day: reported as the first woman to climb both within 24 hours and the first Canadian woman to make the Everest–Lhotse traverse. She follows the Bass list and has said she does not plan to climb Carstensz Pyramid.
