About

A Dubai adventure travel company founded in 2011 by Suzanne Al Houby, the first Arab woman to climb Everest and finish the 7 summits; Zed Al Refai, the first Arab man to do both, is a partner. It sells scheduled group climbs from the Gulf, priced in dollars or euros with dirham, riyal and dinar equivalents: Kilimanjaro by the Machame route (a standard and a luxury version), Elbrus from the south, and Aconcagua by the Polish Traverse. Its team page names its own Kilimanjaro and Elbrus guides; it names no local partner for any peak. By its own count it has organised 81 expeditions on the 7 summits.

Who guides these peaks

  • Kilimanjaro
✓ Runs its own Kilimanjaro climbIts own itinerary and its own leader, with the Tanzanian guides and porters every climb must have.
Why this matters

Kilimanjaro — Tanzanian guides and porters are required by law on every Kilimanjaro climb, so every company uses them: that says nothing about a company. What differs is whether the company you book with sets the itinerary and sends its own leader, or sells you a local operator’s scheduled departure under its own name.
