Biography
François Langlois is a climber from Quebec who climbed the 7 summits over a decade to raise money for children's charities, among them the Fondation du Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, the Montreal Children's Hospital, Child Haven International and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs, he spent his first five weeks in an incubator.
He climbed Aconcagua in 2000, reached the summit of Everest in 2001 and finished on Vinson in December 2010. Years after Everest a benign tumour the size of a grapefruit was found on his left lung, which he had carried since birth and climbed with.
