Canadian alpinist Barry Blanchard has a second book coming, The Echo: Stories from the Edge of Survival, published by Patagonia in hardcover and ebook. Gripped Climbing Magazine reports it continues the story begun in The Calling, the 2014 memoir that took the Boardman-Tasker Prize. The new volume covers fatherhood, ageing and the recovery from a traumatic brain injury.
